Eye Diseases & Disorders
Early treatment of eye diseases and disorders can prevent vision loss and improve your overall health and wellness. We’re here to help answer any of your questions and address your concerns.
We are currently accepting new patients!
Glaucoma
Glaucoma causes damage to the optic nerves that can eventually result in vision loss and blindness. In its earliest stages, glaucoma often doesn’t exhibit symptoms. That’s why annual eye exams are essential.
Early glaucoma treatment consists of oral medications and special eye drops, and can slow down the damage. In severe cases, we can refer you to specialists and surgeons.
Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is an age-related problem that causes progressive damage to the macula, the central portion of the retina. Macular degeneration can cause distorted or blurred vision, which can progress into vision loss. We can prescribe injectable medications and nutritional support programs to help you get your macular degeneration under control.
Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes that can cause blindness. Uncontrolled blood sugar can weaken the retinal blood vessels over time, causing “floaters”, blurred vision, impaired color perception, and vision loss. We screen at-risk patients for diabetic retinopathy and can refer patients to injectable drug therapy or laser therapy.
Cataracts
Cataracts cause clouding in the lenses of the eyes, resulting in blurred vision, light sensitivity, poor night vision, impaired color vision, and visuals like “halos”. We can prescribe corrective lenses to help patients cope with their cataracts. We can also provide pre and post-operative cataracts care.
Dry Eye
Dry eye is a condition that produces an inadequate amount of tears and lubrication, resulting in dryness, redness, inflammation, and light sensitivity. We can prescribe soothing eye drops and recommend the best practices to help keep your eyes moist. We can also advise you on how to handle underlying medical conditions that may be causing your symptoms.
Computer Vision Syndrome
Computer vision syndrome causes a series of eye and vision-related problems, such as eyestrain, inadequate tear production, and headaches. It results from prolonged blue light exposure and computer and mobile device usage. We can counsel you on how to rest your eyes, improve your posture, and recommend tinted lenses for improvements in symptoms.
Eye Infections
Eye infections can be extremely contagious and harmful if left untreated. We treat “pink eye” (conjunctivitis) and other fungal, bacterial, and viral infections that can cause redness, irritation, inflammation, discharge, discomfort, and impaired vision. We can provide antibiotic eye drops and ointments.
Eye Surgery Services
Eye surgery can dramatically change your life for the better. Our team can help you begin the surgical process and guide you every step of the way following your procedure.
LASIK Pre-Surgical Evaluation & Post-Surgical Care
If you’re interested in undergoing corrective LASIK eye surgery, we can help with your preoperative evaluation. Through an eye exam, we can check to see if you are a candidate for LASIK. We will work closely with you to help you make informed decisions about the procedure and your personal goals.
In the days and weeks following LASIK eye surgery, we can assist you with your post-operative treatment. We’ll conduct eye exams, administer eye drops, and monitor your progress in the months and years ahead.
Cataract Surgery Evaluation & Post-Operative Care
We provide pre and post-operative care for patients who are undergoing cataracts surgery. Our team is here to answer all of your questions and make sure you understand the procedure and recovery process. As your eyes heal following surgery, we’ll prescribe new eyeglasses if necessary and monitor your progress.
